In our home, we strive to give our Residents a comfortable family atmosphere providing a peaceful setting in which they can develop as individuals.

The House, built in 1994, is located at 1712 Sherwood Forest Drive in Altoona, Wisconsin. Our home is a ranch style home with 4 bedrooms on the main floor. We have enlarged our main bath to include a walk-in shower with full handicap capability. We have a main floor laundry. A spacious kitchen and living room along with a large outdoor deck combine to provide substantial living area. Each bedroom has cable TV and personal phone line capability. We provide a home environment by accommodating personal tastes and preferences in décor and house activities.

Our staff holds P.C.W. and C.N.A. certifications and is continually trained in current health and safety policies and procedures. A Registered Nurse is available as needed according to each resident’s personal care plan.

Dietsche Family Homes Inc. strives to provide hope along with the services necessary for our residents by providing them with a family-centered environment. We believe that in order to address our residents' needs physically, mentally, and spiritually they need to feel like they are part of a family as well as the community.

We believe that participation in decision-making, exercising personal choice, and gaining a sense of self-direction are critical for maintaining hope and purpose. We believe each person is valuable, and that all Resident’s have the right to maximize their choices and abilities. Our goal is to assist those placed in our care in becoming valuable members of their community, providing support whenever possible for community participation as they choose and are capable. This support includes medication monitoring and administration, travel to and from community events, family style meal each day, and varied in-house activity.
