About Us
Greetings!
We are Beth and Nathan Dietsche, Owners of the Sherwood Forest House of Hope - an Eau Claire Wisconsin Adult Family Home located in Altoona, Wisconsin. We provide health care services as an Adult Family Home specializing in Traumatic Brain Injury. Having completed three years as a Wisconsin licensed Adult Family Home, we now have four full-time residents and are considering future expansion. We are always considering new placements. Our Wisconsin Adult Family Home possesses a combined 28 years of home health care experience. We have enjoyed helping our residents grow beyond their disabilities.
Over the past three years we have accomplished many of our short-term goals for our adult family home. We have continued to follow our vision statement by promoting our core family values and improving our adult family home environment. Examples of these improvements include:
- Improved our outdoor living areas by adding patio furniture, landscaping updates, and refurbishing our deck
- Installation of a concrete sidewalk allowing rear handicap accessibility to our home
- Installed a handicap accessible patio which provides access to a fire pit alongside our garden
- Planted a garden to promote outdoor activities and recreation
- Purchased a fishing boat for water-related recreational activities with residents
Our residents are becoming regular additions to our family. Two residents have been with us for three years, another resident has been with us for a year now, and our fourth resident has been with us since August 2009. All of our residents have grown as individuals through their Personalized Care Plans. We are happy to care for our residents and welcome them as extended family.
We are very thankful to have employed competent staff members to assist us in nurturing and supporting our residents through their care-giving. Our family lives on premises with a staff on duty at all times.
We are also thankful to have established great relationships with our neighbors and our community and look forward to the upcoming years.
