About Us
Greetings!
We are Beth and Nathan Dietsche, Owners of the Sherwood Forest House of Hope - a Wisconsin Adult Family Home specializing in Traumatic Brain Injury. Having completed our first year successfully with three fulltime residents, we are now openly seeking new residents. Our Wisconsin adult family home possesses a combined 24 years of home health care experience. We have really enjoyed helping our residents maximize their choices and abilities.
Over the past year we have accomplished many of our short-term goals. We have continued to follow our vision statement by promoting our core family values and improving our adult family home environment. Examples of these improvements include:
- Installation of a concrete sidewalk allowing rear handicap accessibility to our home
- Purchase of a handicap accessible van with automatic lift to increase mobility of our non-ambulatory residents
- Planted a garden to promote outdoor activities and recreation
- Improved our outdoor living areas by adding patio furniture, landscaping updates, and refurbishing our deck
Three residents have joined our adult family home in the past year. Two of these residents are very independent. They have made much progress, becoming healthier and more independent through their personalized care plan. Our third resident has Fredrick’s Ataxia and requires a higher level of assistance. This resident has also demonstrated much improvement. We are happy to have received these three additional members to our family.
We are very thankful to have found competent staff members to assist us in providing resident care. Two employees are present during all waking hours allowing us to provide complete and personalized care for our residents.
We are also thankful to have established great relationships with our neighbors and our community and look forward to the upcoming year.
